I really got into this book. If you love historical fiction then you really need to read this.
It has a very strong female main character. She basically goes against all rules. She works as basically a doctor that back in the day was a mans job. She also wears men’s clothes and rides a horse like a man.
She makes friendships with unlikely people and sticks up for herself. Even to a Prince!
Even though this books a big don’t be put off. I could put it down and pick it up a few days later and get right into it.
It has made me look for her other books from this author and I am really looking forward to reading more from this author.
I like the strong female lead and the age period the book is set in. I did think I may get bored when it was started going on on the war etc and sometimes it can be quite long winded but it was fast paced and moved on fairly quickly. Please read!
