'The Swords of Silence' appears to be a well written, descriptive text that depicts the history of Japan's religious and political movements. As the title suggests it reveals the stories of people who were willing to do extraordinary things to honour their faith and beliefs, but have been silenced by history due to the labelling of their acts as blasphemous. This proves to be an interesting social history account of Christianity in Japan, something you don't see every day. For this alone I would read his book, but the skilled writing will make it a pleasure!
