Compelling storytelling! Can’t wait for part two!

I absolutely loved this book. I was drawn into the storyline almost immediately, it was a real page turner for me. I found the short chapters and timeline easy to follow and I loved how the author brought Japan and Japanese culture and history to life throughout the book. The book really makes me want to visit Japan. There’s so much unfinished business in this story that I cannot wait to read the second and third parts in this trilogy. This is not usually the type of book I’d go for but I’m so glad I received it from Readers First to read and that I gave it a go. I would really recommend this book, as it’s exciting and dramatic, as well as thought provoking. The book pays homage to the courageous martyrs and missionaries of Japan, highlighting an important part of Japanese history.
