I was interested to read this fantasy book based on Japanese history, as I am interested in Japanese culture, but unfortunately it didn't work for me! I didn't manage to read the entire thing as I didn't get on well with the writing style and wasn't invested in the plot or characters. I can see why other people would enjoy this one but it just didn't work for me unfortunately.
