Surprised
This book is certainly not my usual genre to read but I found was pleasantly surprised.
I found the book slow going at first whilst I got to grips with the plot.
It's a very informative tale, with what seems much research by the author, depicting how dangerous it was to be a Christian in Japan in the 17th century. Certainly it is very descriptive.
The cover however is not one I would be drawn to immediately on a bookshelf, but as the saying goes... Never judge a book by it's cover!
