Unfortunately this is one of those rare books that hits my did not finish pile. I rarely start and don’t finish a book, however, I really struggled with this one. It switched point of view multiple times which was difficult to keep up with and the unfamiliar areas and names from Japan also made it difficult for me to enjoy.
However, a learning curve for me was that Christianity was so prevalent in Japan through European traders / priests, which was very interesting.
I think if you are lover of historical fantasy then this would be a great book for you but unfortunately it’s just not my cup of tea or genre.
