This book is what originally got me into historical books. I had read this s part as a history research project with this book recommended. It is simply beautifully written and quite eye opening. The whole story written in the point of view of a prisoner of Auschwitz opens your eyes to the real horrors of the past.
Even though following the paths of the main characters was more than enough to keep me reading, I think one of my favorite aspects of this book is how much I learnt from it. In my opinion, every young person out there should read this book because it can honestly change your whole perspective of politics and even life. If one group wasn't founded to lead a country to definite doom how different would our world's history be?
The book is medium paced and not slow paced at all. It kept me gripped and intrigued. I think this is a great read and even to new readers I think this is something you should definitely pick up.
