The book follow the story of Lale Sokolov, the Tattooist Of Auschwitz. The way Helen Morris has written the book accompanies Lale's story perfectly. The way the book is written allows you to immerse yourself within the story, at times forgetting that this is a true account of what occurred with Auschwitz to so many people. Saying that, the careful construction of the book also reiterates the horrors that occurred during the Holocaust and this book helped me to understand the true events a little better.

The story is so emotional as Lale left his family and friends behind him and realised that he to experience and witness the torture, just because of his different religious beliefs. As he entered the camp he had a realisation about the purpose of his life and his future; helping to save many lives whilst finding love.

I read the book on holiday thinking it'd take me the entire time but I read it within 2 days.
