I'm not sure 'loved' is the right word to describe this story, and I can't say I 'enjoyed' it either but it's a definite 5 star read for me.

The story is horrific and harrowing but the hope and love in it makes it worth the read. The characters are introduced in depth and we feel all of their emotions with them.

We are all aware of how horrific auschwitz was during this time, but to read of the stories of people who still found love and didn't give up on humans despite all the horror, is something we can all learn from.

I sped through this book, although it broke my heart it gave me little pieces back too.
I'm eager to read Cilkas Journey and learn more about her soon.

The writing style on this book, the research and the storyline are all extremely well done. The Tattoist of Auschwitz is a book that I will continue to recommend to everyone for a long time.
