As a vet student myself, I make it a habit to read the new non-fiction stories from the latest vet authors and thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. I loved the style of this book by Jonathon Cranston (the use of alphabetical chapters with corresponding animals) and the delicate illustrations at the start of each chapter made this book even more heartwarming. The author gives a modern twist to the 'regular' James Herriot veterinary stories and I think that any animal lover would enjoy reading this book. Each chapter contains information as a sort of 'fact sheet' about the key species of that section which I think is a nice touch; Jonathon keeps the reader interested by including funny experiences and describing key details in 'layman' terms where needed. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in animals!
