This story is the sequel to the anticipated read: The Last Hours.
I would recommend reading the prequel before this book as it sets up the story. I have heard of some people reading this as a standalone book - which I would not recommend.
The Black Death is sweeping through Develish. An epidemic has occured.
This book picks up where the last hours ended. A battle is waging between different forces. Lord Bourne VS Thaddeus.
The setting in Dorset was lovely and relatable - having come from there myself.
The hunt for survivors is now in full flow, with many men attempting to find out how many people have survived, and how many people have died.
There is a lot of history in this book, so if you are interested in the 14th century I would recommend this book!
