This cover was absolutely beautiful and is definitely a book that would usually draw my attention and while I was thrilled to receive it, I didn't realise at the time of entering that it was a follow on to another book. I haven't read the first book so going straight into the second was confusing at times(My mistake)
The writing style was magical and it really kept me intrigued, I usually avoid historical fiction genres but the pull of the cover and the brief synopsis were enough to captivate me. It was really easy to blitz through this book. The plot wasn't terribly exciting but it was definitely interesting enough to continue throughout the book.
I'd definitely recommend reading the first book before diving straight into this one though!
