I adored this book and can not wait to getout of lockdown and recommend it to my friends, literally had me gripped from the first page, a wonderfully intriguging main character, Martha, you will beitching to know her background but won't be able to predict the wonderful twists the tale takes. The cover is abrilliant depiction of the book and I found myself studying the art work to see if it is accurate to the story! I am going to be avidly following this author as I am now desperate for a sequel, there MUST be a sequel to this, and a film! The book is so atmospheric and the intertwining Norse Mythology is done with empathy and delicacy allowing you to start to understand the ancient beliefs and those that lived by them.
