Firstly, The Twisted Tree is absolutely nothing like anything I have ever read before and is completely different to my usual choice of genre. However the First Look of this book had me intrigued so I thought i'd give it a go.
This is a book mainly aimed at young adults and follows the story of a teenage girl named Martha. Following an accident which caused her to lose the sight in one eye, Martha finds herself gaining the ability to read people through touching their clothes. This ability becomes both frustrating and at times extremely helpful to Martha when a trip to visit her Grandmother takes a drastic turn. This book is full of magical goings on involving Martha's plight to desperately make things right for her Grandmother.
Over all I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely give this genre a go again in the future.
