The rather dull cover didn't impress me but I was immediately won over by a map inside the cover. Intriguingly, this is of part of Greenland although the blurb talks about an Icelandic crime scene. And then the prologue takes us to Italy and Nantucket Island whilst teasing us with ideas about the first visits of Icelandic people to America.
As a keen reader of historical fiction I think I'm going to surprise myself by really enjoying this detective mystery.
