I didn't read much of the first look before entering the draw for this book and as a result I didn't realise it was a crime thriller. Crime is not a genre I generally take an interest in or enjoy.
I'd like to say that this book was different but unfortunately it genuinely wasn't. In addition to this, I didn't realise that this book was in a series which I haven't read.
Overall, I believe that my negative review is more down to personal preference than the book itself. I liked the writing style and will maybe pick up the first book to see if I can get more into the crime genre than I am now. I would recommend it to a few of my friends and if the author published some books in a different genre I'd consider picking those up too.
