I did not initially think I would enjoy this book as I do not know too much about the behind the scenes of politics or journalism, however, this book was so interesting and tense that I could not stop reading! Gil was an interesting narrator to follow due to his flaws which made me even more engrossed in the story as we see the things he is doing wrong but are still rooting for him and feeling sympathy. Seeing his grief and guilt throughout was also very interesting and his relationship with his family being built was enjoyable to read as well. The increasing tension as the story progressed made it so enjoyable as we saw Gil realising everything that was happening and trying to put a stop to this. I also enjoyed his friendship with Jess and seeing this progress throughout as they got deeper into the secrets of those in charge.
Overall, this book was very enjoyable and intense so I would definitely reccommened!
