This book was a good read. I have never read a political thriller before and thought that the incorporation was very interesting.

The book follows the main character Gil Peck, who is the political editor of a prominent newspaper. Journalist Gil Peck is distraught upon hearing that his sister Clare, was killed in a hit-and-run. However, Gil believes that there is something more to Clare's death. He believes that her knowledge of sensitive government secrets may be the reason behind her death. Gil decides to take matters into his own hands and discover the real truth behind Clare's sudden death.

I did find the first half of the book quite slow. I found that there was not much focus on Clare's accident. However, I'm glad I read on. About halfway through, things started to pick up the pace and became more intriguing. The book was full of suspense and secrets were revealed throughout towards the end of the book. The book kept you guessing who could have been behind Clare's murder.
