I found this book really hard to digest. I loved the sample and was so interested in knowing more about Gil Pecks sisters death. However, as I have been reading this book it only dips in and out of this.
Gil Peck is a journalist for a newspaper and has a lot of input in politics. This book does discuss the seediness of politics and how much the media can affect people’s thoughts on voting and which party to believe. This was interesting in itself as you can relate it to real life situations and how manipulative the press can be.
As Robert Peston writes, you can see how his own personal experiences have influenced his writing. This ,Ames the book more interesting and brings his words to life.
However for myself, this book was hard to get through and I found myself reading a chunk and then leaving it for a while. Unfortunately, I like the premise but it’s not for me.
