I tried, I really did try, but I just couldn't get into it. I got about halfway before giving up - DNFing - because it was just dragging way too much.

I'm not sure if it was the style of writing or the content - or lack of - that made me not feel any sort of connection with the characters, nor any investment towards the book itself.

I have to say; I was expecting more, especially after doing some research and seeing that Robert Peston had written a multitude of books before, and, after seeing him in the news!

I did, however, like how London was recounted, and how it was described by a Londoner, which made you more submerged in the book.

I believe that the premise is great but the follow through just didn't quite meet up to the standard.

The characters seemed quite detached, and very unlikable, not to mention how to dialogue seemed very stilted and false.
