I'm not normally one for political thrillers as I generally struggle to keep up with all the politics elements and don't find them as interesting. However, with The Whistleblower I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed reading it, and kept at it, really struggling to put it down at times. It delves into the murky world of politics and power where lines are blurred and into some of the dark deals that are done for ruthless means.

It's really quick paced and kept me guessing right until the very end, and I did enjoy how it slowly wrapped up all the questions I had reading through it. I didn't initially realise that it was set a little while ago and not in our current year, but I think setting it back then, made for more interesting reading. Initially I didn't think I'd be that interested in it, or reading other books similar, but now I would definitely be open to reading more political thrillers or another fiction book by the same author.
