This is not something I would usually pick up, but I liked the initial extract and it looked like an interesting political thriller written by someone who knows a lot about politics and the world behind it. The copy took a long time to arrive, but it eventually did, and I was happy to get started. I have to say I found it quite heavy and not easy to keep going at times, this is probably not a problem for someone who is really into politics or journalism, but I struggled at times. The idea of the plot was good but I felt that the book did not always flow well - the characters were fairly well written although I felt some we did not get to know enough to fully understand their motivations. So overall not a bad book, but clearly not for me and just confirms that this is unfortunately not my cup of tea. Striking cover though, so well done on that one. I will pass my copy on for someone else to hopefully enjoy more than I did.
