I was a huge fan of The Cruel Prince and sometimes, you can worry if a sequel lives up to the first book, despite looking forward to reading it.
However, this book for not disappoint in the slightest - in fact, I'd go as far as saying I preferred it to the previous book.
I loved the detail in descriptions, you are transported in to a new magical world. And the characters are so well written- you can feel yourself rooting for some and loving to hate others.
The book itself was a great length, I feel some series can waffle and have long books without a lot of substance, but this was a quick read filled to the brim with excitement.
I can not wait to read the next book and see what happens to all of our beloved characters.
