I absolutely loved this book. A great continuation to the story set up so wonderfully in The Cruel Prince. I can’t go into too much detail without spoiling the ending of the first book but the political intrigue in this fae world just gets more intense in this sequel and I love it. Holly Black knows how to write fantasy worlds in a way that is easy to get lost in. She is also a master at crafting complex and interesting characters. Neither Jude or Cardan could be described as the most likeable of main characters and yet there is something about both of them that draws me in and makes me love them.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I hope that it can live up to the first two books.
