I don’t know where to start. I just finished reading this book and I already want to read the next. At first I was getting a little bored because Jude and carden weren’t even speaking to each other that much but then when they began to get closer I couldn’t put the book down. The tension between the characters were done really well and the last 20 pages had me feeling 10 different emotions at once. I was so happy when they decided to get married( even though it wasn’t a romantic marriage only a political one) and then he wanted her to stay in the same bed with him. But then carden betrayed her and her exiled her. I was in shock reading it. Even though I knew it was coming at some point because I accidentally seen it online but i didn’t want to believe it. I am so nervous and excited to start reading the next one. I also can’t wait to read the “how the king of elfhame learned to hate stories” because I really want to know more about his backstory.
