Well, I must confess that It’s not my first rodeo, having already read one of The Authors other books and enjoyed it - stranger on the beach - and so I was very interested to try this one. And like that the content was different, many authors write very similar stories when they shouldn’t be, not writing a series. Not an earthshaking storyline, man and hapless first wife who met a sticky end before his somewhat rushed foray into a second marriage. But it moves along quite pleasantly, if that’s the word, for a thriller, is well constructed and drew me into the storyline as it progressed. If I have any comments to make as to the rationale behind my awarding four stars and not five, it would be that in some parts it seemed to be a little rushed and I would have liked it to be a bit longer overall, and go deeper into some of the characters than I felt it did. But I recommend it as a solid read.
