I really enjoyed this book - it was written excellently and really captured the characters within the story.

I loved the fact that the Queen had been solving mysteries in secret for so long and that no one even Sir Simon her oldest adviser knew.

I really enjoyed and related to Rozie's character and how her life revolved around her job and the royal family. I identified with the pressure from such a job and having back ground from a military/policing background. I also loved the fact that the Queen involved her in all her mystery solving.

I also really enjoyed the descriptions of all the senior male leaders in MI6 and MI5 plus the police who thought the Queen was an elderly figurehead who knew nothing of foreign and current affairs. She always seemed to best them.

Another excellent quality was the fact that the author used all current up to date members of the royal family within the story so it really added to the illusion of it being real and the Queen really being a detective behind the scenes.

Loved it - just would have like it to be a little longer and more shocking. Looking forward to the next instalment.
