I just simply adored this book! As a whole, it was very well written and often very very funny. The plot was engaging and interesting, with twists and turns that kept me hooked. I loved the setting and the author has clearly done their research into the workings of Windsor Castle, which is something I really appreciated! Bennett really does a wonderful job writing the queen and I loved this take on Her Majesty - who knows maybe Her Majesty does love a good crime novel haha. Bennett also wrote her version of Prince Phillip perfectly - his one liners in this had me in stitches and I could just imagine him coming away with these lines in real life. A very accurate fictional representation of the late Prince that once again as something I loved about this book.
I had not even finished reading this one when I bought the second one in the series and I cannot wait to read it soon!
