It’s early spring of 2016 and Queen Elizabeth II is getting ready to celebrate her 90th birthday in Windsor Castle. But the preparation soon interrupted as guest is found dead in one of the bedrooms. An inexpert eye would think that the young pianist would have committed suicide, but the MI5 seen the badly tied knot declare its homicide.
The Queen, initially, decides to leave the investigation to the professionals, until they are heading in the wrong direction. With the help of her Secretary Rozie, Her Majesty starts her own enquiries, while leading her day to day duties so that no one suspects.

I’ve received a free audiobook by bonnier books and the story was narrated by the talented Samantha Bond, which impersonated every single character wonderfully.
If I didn’t know any better I would have thought that the Queen was truly taking part of investigations, as her duty and essence was perfectly represented in the book, and that’s the result, for sure, of the many research S.J. Bennett has carried before writing the story.
I absolutely love it and highly recommend it, it a funny, innovative and easy read!
Can’t wait to get to read/listen to the sequel in November!
