I loved the idea of the Queen solving mysteries and crimes from her home while letting other people think that they managed to do it. Such a fun premise for the book. This was a well-written story, easy-to-read, fun despite the murders & it seemed to treat the deaths with sincerity and sadness. The characters were great, really coming alive and you could imagine how they would fit in. I also like that it isn’t just the only book so there will be more to come in the series!
I think that the Queen would approve of how she was written about too. It also would not surprise me if she has a series of people in her life who do what she says but without realising how intelligent and capable she is. I think that was the best part of the story that you could imagine her being underestimated frequently.
The cover probably doesn’t do the book justice as it is much better than its cover!
