I was expecting this book to be funnier and to be more about the queen actively solving crimes (however unrealistic that may be), but instead it was more serious and the queen privately solved the crimes for her own gratification, getting other people to go and find out the information for her. While this makes more sense with the kind of life that she has, it was not what I was hoping for. Having said that it was still a very good book, different to most murder mysteries where you follow the professional detectives and their crew, so I enjoyed the unique nature of this book. Furthermore, I really liked that the book contained real life events, such as the "approaching referendum" in reference to Brexit and I think it will be very interesting to see how the future books in this series document real life events, and how they are chosen to be represented.
