I would not usually read this sort of genre of book, however, after reading a sample I was hooked and was delighted to receive a free copy! I enjoyed how the story floated between different time zones such as the present and the 60's. it is interesting to compare the two and it is interesting that the reader can experience what life was like back then. Especially being a young woman myself I found it enlightening to read about the feminist movement & realising what women had to do in order to get the rights and equality that we have today. I really enjoyed the friendships between Vee, Leonie & Erica. At first, I did feel that I did not like Leonie, as her personality was bit too strong but as the novel went on, I did warm to her. The friendship between Leonie & Vee was the most interesting subject of the novel, with their ups and downs in their lives and also trying to express their opinions made the story very gripping. The story is very emotional, and is a beautiful story about sisterhood. Would highly recommend.
