One year on and I still think about this book

I read this book a year ago, but I still think about it often. Isn’t that the sign of a great book?

I can relate to the character of Kate so much. Sometimes you can feel like being pushed to settle down because you should. But what’s the point if the person isn’t absolutely ‘the one’.

The wise words and wit of Cecily is just what you need to cut through Kate’s plight. At first it felt like it was all Cecily teaching Kate, but I love the fact that both characters had so much to learn from each other. And so much to teach!

The writing is beautiful, especially when it comes to the food.

Perhaps it is ok to want more and that shouldn’t be seen as a bad thing?

Unapologetic and humorous, I come back to this book regularly and see it almost as a self help guide, even though it was written as a novel.

I implore all woman to read this book as a reminder that it is ok to run your own race. Thank you Vicky.
