I think the author has done a good job in only a couple of chapters of making Denise and Thea believable characters. Having said that, Thea seems to be the one more likely to go on a road trip because of her circumstances. I'm intrigued to find out how they will meet (if they don't know each other already) and what will prompt Denise to leave her family.
