I fell in love with this from the cover and title - it looked so carefree and happy-go-lucky but, actually what I found inside was so much more than this. So much deeper and more complex.
Thea and Denise’s lives were not carefree, they had worries, issues, thoughts and concerns and the way they shared these together strengthened their friendship and their bond. The power of the female friendship and sisterhood so real and written so well. I loved their escapades together; their sense of adventure and escapism.
I’ve read several of Caroline Bond’s books now and she writes such character-driven stories so well. This was a book that I looked forward to picking up, I enjoyed my time with these characters and felt it a privilege to get to know them.
This is a book I’ve already recommended to those that like a thoughtful, and meaningful story.
