When I first started reading this book it became obvious that the main story and characters were about the lives of Thea and Denise. How they met and how they eventually became good friends.
Well done to the author as I found it really engaging and I loved the way you got to read about the human frailty of both women. Such different characters but somehow they worked well together.
Thea came across as a strong women who, even with the break up of her marriage and difficulties with her daughter, seemed to sail through life. Denise on the other hand struggles with the commitments of life with a husband and three sons.
Shortly after meeting and with the pressure of their lives they decide to go on a road trip together. Thea has a wish list of things to do where as Denise just wants to escape and goes along for the ride. Their journey together is funny in parts and sad in others.
This book is well written and would probably appeal more to women readers.
