Thea and Denise, two women with lives intersecting. A tale of family and friendship, looking back at their choices and decisions made for them. I'm not very knowledgeable about the original Thelma and Louise story, so was open minded when it came to reading this 'updated' version.

We quickly learn their current lifestyles, with hints at their pasts. Gradually their lives connect and interconnect, following a chance meeting. I like the fact that we get the perspective from both of the characters, and that they seem to be very different and compliment/challenge each other.

The style of writing is easy to follow and although I read the book quite quickly, you could dip in and out without needing to re-read sections to get back into the book. It's quite feel-good without being too schmaltzy, fairly superficial in places but also poignant at times.
