I've just finished this and really didnt want it to end! Absolutely gripping, this book is perfect for fans of Thelma and Louise and held me in its grasp and I found myself growing to love Thea and Denise. Thea was less engaging to start with - as she was supposed to be. Hard, hurt, struggling it was heartbreaking to see her fighting for, and losing her daughter Ella. Her decision to leave and head off on a road trip to end all road trips really brought tears to my eyes. Her friendship with Denise is unexpected but truly shows the strength of female friendship. This is such a wonderful and brilliant novel not just about women and their relationships with family, work and life in general but women friendships the ones that gives us the strength and our safety net and are there for us whenever and also can and will tell us straight if we are being an idiot.
Beautifully written, thoroughly gripping. Can't recommend enough.
