I love historical fiction, especially those based around the 2nd World War, so I was excited to see this novel appear here. I was especially intrigued as it wasn't based in London.
I was however disappointed. I found it very difficult to read, the sentences were unnecessarily complex and the punctuation was sadly lacking. I'm hoping that it was purely typos in the document and not what will be published, as there were extra spaces in places as well as spaces missing in others. The most frustrating thing I found though was the complete lack of speech marks, it made it extremely difficult to keep up.
If these things are rectified then I would be interested in reading the rest of the book but at the moment it would be a struggle.
