I like the idea- To build a mosque in an area that isn't remotely Islamic or religious! He could cover for it by claiming it was a social experiment I guess? Such a challenge though!
It's funny but also interesting: Bilal is a young man who has 'integrated' the core British values. His mother has passed away and her dying wish was to have her son build a mosque in his village. She wants him to be closer to his faith. (For those interested, God claims in the Qur'an that those who build Him a Mosque, for them, He Shall build a palace for in Paradise. So it's a pretty big deal, and all the work that goes into it!)
i'd quite like to know what the other character's feeling are when the Mosque Project is underway... Such a good concept for a book. Will definitely make things both awkward and funny!
