I'm so glad that I was given the opportunity to read and review this book because I absolutely loved it! Might I say that it's become one of my favourite reads this year? The writing was simply wonderful, and I was entirely gripped by the premise of the story.
I was rather curious going in, since I didn't really know that much about the classic fairy-tale of "The Goose Girl" -- but I've since researched/read about it and I think the author did a great job with this retelling!
Alyrra was by far my favourite character (although there weren't many likeable ones to begin with), and I felt so bad for her living situation. Her family members were absolutely horrible and all I could hope for was her happy ending.
The world-building was also stunning to read about, and I can't wait to dive back into this series with the next book, because you can bet I'll be picking it straight up after this! If you're looking for a fantasy YA this summer then I highly recommend that you check out 'Thorn'! Intisar Khanani will not disappoint you.
