With everything that is going on in the world right now this is the perfect book to escape from it all, it was exactly what I needed to be reading last week.
Of course the first thing that drew me in was the gorgeous cover art and the synopsis, it is such a striking cover.
This is a retelling of the goose girl which is actually a fairy tale I have never heard of so i cannot say where the similarities in the stories are. There was so much going on in this story that I just could not put it down and managed to finish it within 2 days. Unfortunately helping my son with his school work meant I couldn't read it all in one sitting!
I will definitely be seeking out other books from this author in the future!
