Mothers and daughters
I'm always interested in reading a novel by a non-English writer, purely for the different perspectives on life. This story looks from the description to be very involved with lots of rich characters, with far-reaching levels of content about other countries.
I like the idea of a mother telling her daughter about her past. A very good device that can open up a whole world of experience.
The cover is pretty and whimsical, nicely coloured, altogether an attractive book.
I would really like to read this, just to see if it's as good as I think it may be!
