The writing in this book was really good that it made you want to know more and read on. The story follows twins Sebastian and Cecelia who grow up in an isolated farm house with their abusive father, so protecting each other was important. The story moves on to 18 years later when secrets are revealed. Cecelia tries to break free of her brother, whereas Sebastian is determined to keep them together. The book is filled with many twists and turns and all the secrets are revealed towards the end of the book. One thing I found weird was the brother-sister relationship, and I was not expecting that turn towards the end of the book. I don't think this part was necessary, just makes the book a bit odd. Nevertheless, Gayle Curtis does a good job at writing this dark story.
