There is a real sense of urgency when reading this book. I found myself flying through the pages, desperate to find out what happens next. Lots of twists and turns to get the heart pumping! I have to be honest though, I called it about three chapters in but I think that’s a sign that I’ve watched way too many Netflix documentaries ha!
So to the story, Ellen is on a train, a stranger comes forward and gives her a baby to hold. The stranger disappears but leaves a note asking Ellen to protect the baby (Mia) and to trust no one, especially the police. Over the next five days Ellen gets kidnapped, beaten, house broken into and goes on a wild goose chase to protect Mia at all costs. She really does have to decide who she puts her faith into helping her, but is it the right decision?
Great fast read, with enough momentum to keep you on your toes until the bitter end!
