This book explains why I don't talk to people on public transport!!

Ellen Devlin was on a train when she is asked to hold a stranger's baby, little Mia, while she takes a phone call. The stranger then gets off the train, leaving Ellen holding the baby - literally. She was left with a note to take care of the baby and not to trust anyone - not even the police.

Things then escalate, resulting in kidnap, burglary, assault and general mayhem. Ellen has clearly been dragged into something bigger and with her Navy background she's not the type to let it go and just get on with her life.

This was a real page turner and the author does a great job creating believable characters and a gripping story.

I had guessed the ending but then I have read a lot of thrillers and they do tend to follow a formula, but it didn't detract from the story as I was curious to see how it would unfold. I thoroughly recommend this book.
