The synopsis of this book really drew me in and after reading the first impression I had really high hopes for this one. However unfortunately there were a few issues with this book which made this quite difficult for me to finish, and it therefore actually took me a long time to read.

This book had pacing issues, it started off strong going straight into the story - then it loses its way in the middle - and then towards the end it wraps up abruptly. The story around the middle starts to go off on a tangent and I found myself getting confused with what was going on.

The story starts strong, but then quicky becomes far fetched and no longer plausible. This made me lose interest for a large part of the book.

I found none of the characters particularly endearing and was therefore not that invested in finding out their conclusions.

However I did enjoy the authors writing style. I also liked the short chapters which ended on cliff hangers. I also liked that the story was told from different perspectives.

I have read another book by the same author which I really enjoyed and based on that book I would pick up another book written by him.
