This is a modern crime novel with all the twists and turns a good mystery lays out. The main character Ellen is strong and determined yet has that normalcy about her. The role and personas of the others characters play interesting and prominent parts in laying out a plot that could take you in a multitude of directions but seems to almost purposefully gives away the final twist towards the end.
The writing style was smooth and easy to follow. A few details that made me question accuracy which ever so slightly pulls you away from world you're being drawn into. Yet at other times leaving with me the emotions of the particular situation the main character Ellen is encountering and having to endure that almost made me not want to read on out of the frustration of it!
Overall this was a flowing and engaging story that I could just not put down. Really enjoyable!
