This was a really tense, fast paced thriller that kept me hooked from the start. Thanks to Reader's First for sending me a free advanced copy to review.
When Ellen us handed a baby to hold on a train, little does she know how much her life is to change. When the baby's mother gets off at the next stop, literally leaving Ellen holding the baby, there is just a note saying trust no-one, bit even the police. But who can Ellen trust? As a series of people try to get her to trust them, or lead them to baby Mia, who can Ellen really trust?
There are lots of twists and turns in this book, and few people are who they actually appear to be. While many of the characters are not likeable, they all add to the sense of tension and mystery.
Ellen is a likeable main character, and her feelings are really well expressed throughout, I was drawn into how she was feeling from the start, and this helped keep me hooked to the book.
I'd recommend this book wholeheartedly.
