This book really blew my mind, I was seriously not expecting the contents of this book. The cover is what first attracted me. I was very drawn to the intricacies of the cover, the design and how it seemed to give off a very peaceful look. It looked peaceful and joyful simultaneously and this is what initially attracted me to this book. The writing style adopted by the author is very unique and enticing and cajoles you to continue reading this book. I think this is what allowed me to finish this book in such a short time. The story is unveiled at a steady pace, revealing many complex and powerful emotions whilst maintaining a light atmosphere within the book. This was my first time reading a book written by the author Elizabeth Buchan but I don't think it will be my last. The plot was simple but excellent due to the themes presented within the book.
